It's Just Wrong!

To start off with, let me state that I love Christmas-time and Christmas music. Having said that, I have a HUGE problem with radio stations that have already begun playing Christmas music. It is November 1st! Maybe they are using a different calendar than I am, but mine says Christmas isn't until December! It's bad enough that retail stores put out their Christmas items earlier and earlier each year. I saw Christmas ornaments just one aisle over from the Hallowen costumes this year. It just feels wrong to be driving down the road on a beautiful fall day with the sun shining and the leaves on the trees all red and orange and yellow and then to turn on the radio and hear Crystal Gayle singing "White Christmas". WTF!

So yet again this year, I am boycotting certain radio stations till well after Thanksgiving because they choose to start their Christmas season the day after Halloween. I know there are people out there (and I am related to a couple of them) that love that there are Christmas songs on the radio. They would have Christmas year-round if they could get away with it. But I am not one of those people. Don't make the year go faster than it already has. Save the Christmas music for Christmas.
